Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances. At JPS we believe that good parenting and high quality early learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up. Keeping this in view we work at the following areas of learning:

  • communication and language
  • physical development
  • personal, social and emotional development
  • literacy
  • mathematics
  • understanding the world
  • expressive arts and design

Modus operandi of JPS Preschool is learning through play. All Pre-schoolers at JPS are provided periods of uninterrupted time in which they engage in active learning, explore their environment, make their own discoveries and set their own challenges.

JPS is an accredited Cambridge school and it follows Cambridge Primary Curriculum right from Year I of the Junior School. To ensure the successful implementation of this curriculum we are committed to creating safe, secure and inclusive environments which are conducive to effective teaching and learning. At JPS Junior School from Year I to Year V the children study:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Islamiat
  • Social Studies
  • Digital Literacy
  • Art/Craft
  • Physical Education
  • Library/Caterpillar Reading Programme

Students are mainly taught through project based and student-centered learning. Student achievement is assessed through class participation, class tests, formative assessments, summative assessments, presentations and project displays. This assessed learning is translated into attainment of the bench marks of the Cambridge curriculum.

The curriculum and teaching at this level is tailored to encourage the development of higher order skills, preparing the children to make informed choices about board examinations.

The structure of learning in the JPS Middle School progressively becomes more focused on independent learning where our students take greater responsibility for their own learning. Our career counsellors in collaboration with our teachers, assist students in their choice of study and to identify the best examination route to meet their academic preferences and ambitions.

At JPS Middle School from Year VI to Year VII the students study:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Islamiat
  • History
  • Geography
  • Digital Literacy

JPS School System is approved by Cambridge Assessment and International Examinations to provide O Level and A Level qualification as well as affiliated with BISE and offer Matriculation. The students may opt for the Matriculation route.

During this period of study students are taught by specialist teachers, providing in-depth subject knowledge to prepare them for the board examinations. Our O’ Level programme offers a broad and balanced range of subjects which enable our citizens to focus their knowledge and understanding on dedicated subject areas as preparation for A Level and further education.

JPS Senior School aims at making students self-directed learners, independent thinkers and confident individuals with all the skills required to be successful in a 21st century world.
